Periodontist

A periodontist specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the gums, particularly where there is bleeding, inflammation and looseness of teeth. Periodontists are also experts in reshaping the gums for cosmetic reasons and in the surgical placement of dental implants.
