Graduated from The University of Western Australia in 1993 with Honours in Bachelor of Dental Science.  After 2 years in rural Victoria undertaking all aspects of dentistry, returned to UWA.  Undertook a Masters program in Periodontics in combination with a teaching position, this was completed in 1999.  Research thesis undertaken at Princess Margaret Hospital on outcomes of Cleft Lip and Palate repair.  Emigrated to the United Kingdom to work in multi-specialist practice in Guildford, Surrey, NHS practice in Sutton and a teaching position at The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.  Returned to Perth in mid 2002 to commence private practice specialising in Periodontics.  Currently the practice owner and principal of Western Periodontics in Northbridge and a consultant Paediatric periodontist at the Perth Children’s Hospital.  The practice has particular interests in: the management of periodontal diseases and maintaining the natural dentition; the interactions between oral health and general health; women’s health; diabetes; surgical placement of dental implants; management of problems with dental implants.
