Dr Arti Dyett was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, and has lived in Perth since 2006. Arti completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours at the University of London in 2006, and moved to Perth to begin her career as a dentist.  While working full-time as a dentist in public and private practice, Arti completed a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry with Honours at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and in 2010 was accepted into UWA’s full-time three year Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics. During her Doctoral program, Arti conducted research evaluating the impact of orthodontic tooth movement on surrounding tissues, and also on the use of 3-Dimensional scanning methods to assess facial asymmetry.  Arti’s research has been published in the American journal, Progress in Orthodontics, and has also been presented to fellow clinicians. Arti is trained to use a wide range of functional orthodontic appliances, both removable and fixed. She is skilled in implants to assist tooth movement, Invisalign, and surgical orthodontic cases. Arti is an active member of the orthodontic and dental specialist communities in Western Australia, and is the current Treasurer of the Dental Specialists Society of Western Australia.  She is also a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontics, the Australian Dental Association, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists and is a Registered Orthodontic Specialist with the Dental Board of Australia and has achieved Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB) Certification. Arti is married to Peter and they have one young son. Outside of work you will find Arti at the gym, rock climbing, cooking, or spending time with family and friends.
